Dr. iur. B. Gino Koenig, LL.M.,
born 1956, was admitted to the Bar in Switzerland in 1985 and in Virginia (USA) in 1988. He was partner for eleven years in a Zurich based law firm before he joined Lustenberger Glaus & Partner in 2009. Gino Koenig was a member of the Arbitration Committee of the Swiss Chambers of Commerce (2003-2007) and is the chair of the Tribunal of the Swiss Ice Hockey Association (since 2006, member since 1998). Additionally, he is President of an ice hockey club.
Education and Professional Experience:
Gino Koenig studied at the University of Zurich School of Law (1980 J.D. / 1989 S.J.D.) and obtained an LL.M. degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1988. He practices as an attorney since 1985 mainly in Zurich. From 1989 to 1990, he worked two years for a large Washington, D.C., law firm. Gino has more than 20 years experience as counsel and arbitrator in domestic and international arbitration proceedings (Swiss Rules, ICC, ad-hoc), in particular in infrastructure projects. He is on the list of recommended arbitrators of the Swiss Real Estate Association (SVIT).
